Best museum ive been in my life, and ive been to planty! The idea of combining both interactive, informative and enviormental essence to the history of Germany step by step is creating an imersive feeling to the inspector, both smart and fun! THANK YOU

The Museum offers some nice glimpses into German history. Spread across two small floors, it provides a concise overview. A visit can be completed within an hour, even if you take your time, it should rarely exceed two hours. The Museum features some interactive elements on a small scale. While there are undoubtedly some nice and realistic atmospheric touches and furniture reflecting different eras, these cannot substitute for the full historical picture. The staff are friendly. The entrance shop has a typical gift selection for Berlin. Water is not available. You can easily lock your jackets at the entrance, but remember to have Euro coins or similar for the lockers. For a family of two adults and two children, consider spending the approximately 60 Euro entrance fee on something more entertaining. There are numerous other museums nearby. You can purchase tickets in advance (recommended) or on-site. Although the Museum was not crowded, even with advance tickets, entry is not permitted five minutes before the scheduled time.

Best museum I have ever visited. I wished it would be longer

Amazing museum, it was an amazing experience which allowed us to go through a time changing adventure. You start at year 9 where you join early Germanic hunters in the dense forests of Germany, later on step into the Middle Ages and join knights as they fight for honor and dignity. Finish off with learning about the culture of Berlin and the new generations. 10/10 Would recommend.

Great museum for German history, great for kids and the staff was nice and helpful

I have been to many museums throughout my life but this was one if the better ones. I loved how it did a full look at Germanys hiatory and also included the horrible ww2 parts. Defintly recomend.

If you can only visit 1 museum, go here! I visited a few museums in Berlin but this one absolutely blew me away. It's not just the displays that are immersive but the entire museum! It's like walking through the centre of film sets. With light,sound and smell embedded as well as interactive displays it was a great unique experience! It's also in a very central, historical location where you can see original wall near by, the last remaining guard tower (although not currently on show) and the mall of Berlin for food.

Incredibly well done, immersive experience. Interesting and exciting for kids as well. Just the war scenes are a little scary for pre-school children.

A very interesting and nice museum! There are some interactive and amusing elements that will be interesting for both kids and adults. The forest is done very well and realistic, and the quizes are also fine. I highly recommend, but it's difficult to see everything within one visit. We were there 2,5 hours and it wasn't enough to see all thoroughly.

I was really surprise from this museum, is really nice done, super interactive, is possible to touch everything and this one make also so interesting for little one!The stuff is really friendly and helpful😊 I really suggest this museum

Amazing Wonderful place looking at Germany from over 2000 years. Very interactive and great use of technology to make it feel really quite immersive and fun.

Enjoyable, can be a little crowded at times but overall really cool

The experience was really amazing. The interactive environment made this museum really special. There is a special printing press which give out print of your selected letter. I would definitely recommend everyone who is visiting Berlin to try this place. Totally worth the time and money. Also please come with fresh mind as there are so many information to grasp😅.

An excellent museum for a whistle stop tour of Germany's history from the Romans to the Modern day. Both Interactive and Standard information plaques come in German and English. The subject of World War is dealt with consideration - I found the use of the silhouettes here to be very moving.

If you’re interested in visiting other German history museums, this is a perfect starting point, offering a solid foundation and deeper understanding of the country’s rich past, all presented in an engaging and informative way.

Modern establishment, plenty of interactive attractions, excellent story telling. Enough historic artifacts exposed as well. Neat, efficient, and strikes a fine line emotionally too.

Great museum! Everything is interactive and you can even make your own personal bookmarks which is really cool. Tickets aren't free but I think they are worth it because the museum is really well done.

This museum is so well done. My favorite of the day. It’s interactive and family friendly, but it’s not cheesy at all. Highly recommend!

It was pretty cool. Each period is clearly defined. There's no mistaken you're leaving one era for another. Nicely laid out with interactive points with quizzes, build your own song and even create your very own bookmark. The bookmark is free. It was a cloundy/rainy day and so it made for the perfect activity. Right outside you can dinf part of the Berlin Wall, with more across the street at the intersection. There is also the Berlin Mall. They also have lockers with chargers for all phone types. I was impressed by that. Overall a very nice experience that I would recommend and probably visit again. Enjoy

Very good and interactive history of the German people, and their history, very interactive to make learning fun

Great experience This was a completely immersive experience and took us through 2000 years of history in an always entertaining and informative way using multiple clever means from interactive displays, original period objects, music, sound archives and not least written commentary (the quiz questions were also for the very nerdy know it alls). The curators managed to cram in a huge amount of information during a two hour experience without it feeling like an onerous history lesson and by simply making me enjoy the experience. An absolutely must for those interested in the history of Germany but also of Europe and indeed ultimately the world which was a story often told in heartbreaking detail. My only complaint was there were not enough place to sit down for the frail and disabled. Go! And ENJOY…

An interesting and informative museum about the history of the German(ic) people over the past 2.000 years. We really enjoyed our visit to this museum!

Honestly it is an overrated one. It is very average museum with too much of digital information overload. You never feel that you are in past.

Really fun, immersive, and interactive. Would be really great for children and families but we were two adults and still enjoyed ourselves. Improvement could be to provide more in-depth information on the different time periods for those who are looking for more detailed explanations (maybe instead of the quiz screens).

This musuem if fantastic! Highly interactive and engaging for everyone. You can see it has been carefully thought out and it even captured my 13 year olds attention. You walk through different time periods Roman, Middle Ages, Reformation etc. There exhibits are immersive and use technology to give an overview of Germany's history.
